PLAYERS
Biography: All-American and all-conference player as a senior after becoming a full-time starter and posting 44 tackles/9 tackles for
loss/15 sacks. Also intercepted two passes last year. Played in 14 games with a single start as a junior and finished with
28/10/13.
Positives: Game-changing, playmaking defender whose game is on the rise. Athletic, flows well to the action and displays solid change-of-direction ability. Explosive at the point, plays with good pad level and effectively uses his hands to protect himself. Gets off the snap with a terrific first step, shows a burst of closing speed and has the ability to bend off the edge. Reads and diagnoses the action, plays smart football and immediately finds the ballcarrier. Takes good angles to the action and is fluid making plays in every direction of the field. Plays with terrific balance, body control and is rarely knocked off his feet. Built low to the ground and gets leverage on opponents. Displays the athleticism necessary to go sideline to sideline, covers a lot of area on the field and easily exploits immobile blockers. Slides off blocks, redirects to ballcarriers and makes tackles in the open field. Negatives: Controlled at the point of attack or blocked from the action by tight ends. Does not always chase the action hard in backside pursuit. Analysis: Ingram was highly regarded by NFL scouts entering the season and elevated almost every aspect of his game as a senior. He's a playmaking defensive front seven prospect who can be used at several positions and has the ability to create a lot of problems for opponents. Ingram needs to play hard on every down, but should be an immediate starter at the next level. He moves toward the draft with a lot of momentum. Projection: 1st ![]() Jim Dedmon/Icon SMI
