PLAYERS
Biography: Broke into the starting lineup as a freshman. Senior totals included 28 tackles/10.5 tackles for loss/10 sacks, when he missed
three games with a hamstring injury. Junior totals included 39/9/5.5.
Positives: Tough, smart defender who plays hard until the whistle blows. Patient, remains disciplined with assignments and plays with good lean. Fluid if asked to twist or stunt, uses his hands well and plays with leverage. Easily gets down the line to chase the action, quick off the edge and displays a burst of closing speed. Keeps his feet driving upfield and possesses good quickness. Negatives: Struggles getting off blocks and can be controlled by a single opponent. Displayed a lot of stiffness and looked uncomfortable during Senior Bowl practices when used at linebacker. Analysis: Bequette was a solid college defender and offers the size, body type and speed to play at the next level. Still developing, he'll offer possibilities as a defensive end in a four-man line or rush linebacker in a 3-4 alignment. He's an asset to a roster and could develop into a productive player if properly coached. Projection: 5th
