Prolific Dunker, Prolific Negotiator
If, like me, you have DirecTV, you know the satellite provider is having some beef with Viacom and several channels, including Comedy Central, MTV and VH-1, have been pulled. This dispute has ruffled the feathers of
Blake Griffin. The Clippers forward, who laid up after having knee surgery earlier this week, needs a full roster of channels while he recovers, so he took matters into his own hands last night.
First he tweeted DirecTV, saying, "why are you trying to ruin my life and not let me watch ?#workaholics? on comedy central? xoxo thanks." DirecTV responded with, "Blake, we're working nonstop to reach an affordable deal for all of our customers => http://directvpromise.com ?#DIRECTVHasMyBack."
Griffin then put the pressure on Viacom, asking, "Yo @viacom word is you're the reason I'm missin some channels. Let me know. Hope you're well. Thanks." As of this writing, Viacom has not replied to Griffin, so score this one for DirecTV.
