Jimmy requires two days to recover from the NFL's opening weekend and has asked me to fill in through Wednesday. He did send me a text last night, however, about how badly MLB botched the 9/11 anniversary. The league, which Jimmy
has blasted in the past, told the Mets that they
couldn't wear hats honoring New York City fire department, police department and other agencies. Former Mets reliever
John Franco, who threw out the first pitch, said the team should have ignored MLB and worn the hats anyway,
as the 2001 team did.
